Urgent Appeal for Support: Help New Image Emergency Shelter Assist Victims of the Southern California Wildfires

New Image Emergency Shelter urgently needs your help to address the immediate and ongoing needs of those displaced by the devastating wildfires in Southern California. Our organization is overwhelmed 24/7 with displaced individuals and families seeking shelter and assistance. While we are continuously providing information and updates, the demand is high, and we are placing many evacuees in hotels for 2-3 days as they reach out to family, friends, and other resources.

How You Can Help:

We are doing everything we can to support evacuees in this difficult time, but we need your help to continue, after literally listening to their challenges, family after family, crying with them throughout the night, realizing their devastation and loss is beyond words. Your tax-deductible donations will directly fund the placement of individuals in hotels and motels, providing them with a clean and healthy safe place to stay while they make longer-term arrangements to stay with friends and family members, or to file for eligibility to the Air B&B program or similar resource. Our team works diligently to match evacuees’ addresses with the nearest wildfire evacuation centers before placing them in hotels.

In addition to hotel vouchers (ranging from $110–$165 nightly, depending on family size), we are also providing clothing, personal hygiene kits and supermarket vouchers or gift cards to help meet their basic needs. We are making every effort to direct evacuees to nearby evacuation centers, but many are already full, as they are also serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the area.
